He was born under humble circumstances, but to the faithful, it was an event foretold and awaited for generations. Little could those who attended Him in that lowly stable fathom what this great Man would do for us all.
Throughout His ministry, Christ lived and worked among imperfect beings-beings with appetites, lusts and sin. Though their vision was carnal and limited, He continued to love and serve them. He saw their divine potential and guided them towards their best selves. And thus He continues to do for us today. Christ was subject to more temptation, abuse and grief during His brief life than any of us could imagine or endure. And yet He overcame, rising above the baseness of the world and leading others to salvation.
I am so grateful for His sacrifice and His enduring love! I know that Christ has endured all the sicknesses, pains, and afflictions of this world. He knows what each of us are going through at each moment of our lives. He knows how to succor us in our weakness. I know that as we come to Him, we will find peace and joy. This knowledge has been such a comfort in my life. I know that when we are in anguish, no matter the cause, in Him we can find refuge.Because of His infinite and all-encompassing Atonement, we can be forgiven for the mistakes we make. Each of us can return to live with Him and our Eternal Father. What an incredible gift! It is my hope that I can show my gratitude by being a better instrument in His hands to build up His kingdom and bless other's lives. I love my Savior with all my heart and honor Him. I know that with His help, we can all succeed. And I can't think of a better reason to celebrate the season!
